Virtual Whiteboard Therapist

Log in to the platform with your registration credentials and start an online session. Remember that you have several options for starting an online session.[Supporto: How to start an online session]#atfp_close_translate_span#.

Open and view the Virtual Whiteboard

  Enter your virtual room and select the virtual whiteboard icon.

When both you and your patient are online, you will see both on the right side of your device screen. virtual whiteboard icon (as in the image below) and you can interact simultaneously on the same whiteboard in real time.

Click on the icon    For

  • open a new virtual whiteboard 
  • load latest virtual whiteboard (this feature will be available soon).

Virtual Whiteboard Features

The virtual whiteboard is shared in real time with your patient and allows you to take advantage of the available features. 

Remember: as a therapist, you see your patient next to you at the bottom of the screen.

Remember: the virtual setting settings  The settings you've set for the patient remain active even when you're using the virtual whiteboard. Therefore, the patient will continue to see/hide you depending on whether you've disabled/enabled their viewing.
Unless you decide otherwise by selecting  (which will be visible on your image and in the side menu), you will be visible on your screen at the bottom of his screen[Supporto: Patient Profile Settings]#atfp_close_translate_span#.

On the left side of the virtual whiteboard:

  • click on    <Genogramto use the preset symbols to build the genogram:
    • Type
    • Family relationships
    • Emotional relationships
    • Children
    • Other
  • click on  <Naviga to select an object or move on the board
    • click on <Select> , Click on an item to move it or click and drag to group multiple items and move them together
    • click on <Move> , Click on the whiteboard and move the virtual sheet in the direction you prefer
  • click on <Instrumentsto draw or erase signs and shapes on the virtual whiteboard
    • click on  : draw by dragging the mouse like a pen; first choose the color you prefer
    • click on :  First select an item, then click Delete Item to delete it.
  • click on <Shapes> , sChoose the shape you prefer and click and drag it onto the board to draw it.
    • click on   to quickly draw a rectangle or square
    • click on   to quickly draw a circle 
    • click on to quickly draw an arrow
    • click on  to quickly draw a straight line
  • click on <ImagesTo insert the image you want from your device and upload it to the board: enlarge or reduce it as you prefer
    • Add from file 
    • Add from URL 
  • click on <Text> To write a text: choose the color and enlarge or reduce it as much as you like 
  • click on  <Colorto set the color for each of the available functions
    • click on   and choose the color for each of the available features
    • click on  and click on an element to fill it with the selected color
  • click on immagine <Optionsto view other available functions
    • Save immagine
    • Cancel immagine
    • Delete immagine
    • Zoom out immagine
    • Zoom In immagine

     

At the top of the virtual whiteboard:

  • click on   to close the whiteboard and remember:
    • The whiteboard is saved with each change.

Offline availability of the virtual whiteboard

The whiteboard that the therapist and the patient have available on the platform can also be available at the end of the sessions, whether it has been used

If the whiteboard was used in the online session

The whiteboard that the therapist and patient have available on the platform and use during the online session can also be made available after the session concludes. The therapist can decide whether to enable or disable this feature for each patient at the end of the online session. At the end of the video consultation, the following pop-up will appear, allowing them to make their selections based on their needs at the time and in the specific case:

By selecting the respective , among the possible alternatives, will be able to decide whether, once the session is concluded, from the section of his sessions, the patient:

  • will be able to view and edit the whiteboard;
  • will be able to only view the whiteboard, but not modify it;
  • Not can neither view nor edit the whiteboard

The therapist always has the ability to view and edit the whiteboards for each session, as well as change the sharing settings with the patient.
The virtual whiteboards relating to each session are displayed:

  • in the list of online sessions in each patient’s profile, where they have used or made them available
  • in the list of sessions of all patients, on the respective detail line, where you have used or made them available

What the Patient Sees

Each patient will have access to their own whiteboard (if shared) in the session list and, depending on the settings the therapist defines, will be able to view or even modify it; simply: 

  • click on the respective icon  to open the virtual whiteboard (if made available by the therapist)
  • click on the icon to view or download the image (if made available by the therapist)
 

If the whiteboard was not used in the online session

The whiteboard that the therapist and the patient have available on the platform even if they don’t use it during the online sessionIt can also be available at a later time, at the conclusion of the sessions. The therapist can decide whether to enable or disable this option for each patient, right at the end of the online session. At the end of a video consultation in which the whiteboard has not been used, the following pop-up will appear, allowing the therapist to make a selection based on the needs of the moment and the case:

By selecting the respective , among the possible alternatives, will be able to decide whether, Once the session has concluded, even if the patient has not used the virtual whiteboard during the session, from the section of his sessions:

  • will be able to view and edit the whiteboard;
  • will be able to only view the whiteboard, but not modify it;
  • Not can neither view nor edit the whiteboard
ATTENTION: even if the whiteboard is not used during the session, the therapist is offered the possibility of memorizing the setting availability of the blackboard to the patient outside of the video consultation.

By checking the “Remember my choice for this patient and never ask me again” option, the therapist will save the setting for that patient and will not have to select it each time at the end of the session.

REMEMBER: if the therapy includes times when the blackboard will need to be made available and other times when its availability will need to be limited, we suggest not selecting this option so that you can easily select the most useful alternative each time.
The therapist always has the ability to view and edit the whiteboards he or she decides to leave available to the patient in each session, as well as change the sharing settings with the patient.
The virtual whiteboards relating to each session are displayed:
  • in the list of each patient’s online sessions, where they have used them or made them available

  • in the list of sessions of all patients, on the respective detail line, where you have used or made them available
